Article 1 (Purpose) The purpose of this Rule is to provide for matters mandated by the Seoul Metropolitan Government Ordinance on Promotion of MICE Industry and those necessary for the enforcement thereof.

Article 2 (Support for Hosting MICE Events) (1) A person or organization that intends to apply for administrative and financial support for hosting MICE events under Article 11 of the Seoul Metropolitan Government Ordinance on Promotion of MICE Industry (hereinafter referred to as the "Ordinance") shall submit file an application for support with the Mayor of the Seoul Metropolitan Government (hereinafter referred to as the "Mayor").
(2) The application for support to be submitted by the applicant pursuant to paragraph (1) shall be filed in the form included in an annual action plan (plan to support the MICE industry in Seoul Metropolitan City) publicly announced by the Mayor every year pursuant to Article 5 (2) of the Ordinance.
(3) The Mayor shall decide the results of examination and approval according to the standards for support for each MICE sector included in the plan, prescribed in paragraph (2), to support the MICE industry in Seoul Metropolitan City, notify the applicant of their decision and what is supported, and disclose the results thereof.
(4) The applicant who receives the financial support according to the results of paragraph (3) shall submit a report on the results of events and necessary documents within one month after the end of the events.

Article 3 (Decision on Support for Hosting MICE Events) (1) Even after making a decision to provide administrative or financial support, the Mayor may withdraw the decision or may reduce any monetary support or request the applicant to return such monetary support (including statutory interest), if any, in any of the following cases:
1. Where monetary support is decided to be provided or provided based on false information such as overcount of the number of participants;
2. Where submitted documents, such as an application for monetary support and a report on the results, are insufficient or the deadline for the submission is not complied with;
3. Where the conditions for providing monetary support are not met;
4. Where sponsor names and logos of Seoul Metropolitan Government and its organizations dedicated to MICE are used in events other than approved ones (including side events) without permission;
5. Where they are found to be advertised tours, not business meetings or an incentive travels hosted by companies;
6. Where an applicant changes a host city after receiving the monetary support by inviting the event while promoting Seoul Metropolitan City as a host city;
7. Where the events have caused social controversies even after the notification of whether to provide monetary support or the payment thereof;
8. Where the events are expected to cause or have caused serious social and political issues.

Article 4 (Persons Eligible for Award and Standards for Payment) (1) The Mayor may grant award to any of the following persons among MICE-related organizations, companies, and individuals pursuant to Article 13 of the Ordinance:
1. An organization or individual that promotes the position of Seoul Metropolitan City as a MICE city by attracting events hosted by MICE organizations;
2. An organization or individual that contributes to enhancing the local economy of Seoul Metropolitan City by hosting events hosted by MICE organizations.
(2) The standards for granting MICE award shall be as specified in the attached Table.

Article 5 (Application for Payment of Award) A person who intends to receive MICE award referred to in Article 13 of the Ordinance shall prepare the application for the payment of award in the attached Form and submit it to the Mayor.

ADDENDUM
This Rule shall enter into force on the date of its promulgation.
