Article 1 (Purpose)

Article 2 (Permission for Official Overseas Business Trips)

Article 3 (Advance Consultation on Business Trip Policies)
(1) The head of the department that carries out the official overseas business trip (hereinafter referred to as the “main department”) must consult in advance with the head of the department in charge of permission for the official overseas business trip (hereinafter referred to as the “permission department”) when establishing the official overseas business trip policy.

When there is a need to change the notified business trip period or time due to special reasons, the head of the department in charge may submit a request for a change in the business trip to the head of the permitting department, stating the reason. In such cases, if the content initially reviewed and notified falls under any of the items in Article 6, Paragraph 1 of the Seoul Metropolitan City Council Government Ordinance on Official Overseas Business Trips, it must be resolved by the Official Overseas Business Trip Review Committee (hereinafter referred to as the “Committee”). However, in cases where the agenda is minor, such as a simple schedule change, adjustment of travel expenses, or change or reduction of business travelers, the resolution of the Committee may be omitted.

Article 5 (Review of the Purpose and Necessity of Business Trips)
(1) In cases of overseas business trips for reasons such as data collection or business consultation, overseas business trips may be restricted if the specific purpose and necessity are not clearly clarified.

Article 6 (Review of the Purpose of Business Trips) 1. Whether the country being visited is suitable for achieving business objectives

Article 7 (Review of Business Travelers)
(1) Priority shall be given to selecting a person whose current job duties are suitable for the purpose of the business trip and who can perform the relevant duties for a considerable period of time after returning to the country, but for business trips for the purpose of inspection, observation, observation of advanced cases, and data collection, priority will be given to selecting an incomer of less than six (6) months. However, if the Committee determines that the person on the business trip is unsuitable, it may request that they be replaced with another qualified person in order to improve the performance of the business trip.

Article 8 (Review of Business Trip Duration and Time)
(1) The business trip period shall be recognized as the minimum period necessary to perform official duties and, in principle, shall not exceed fifteen (15) days at a time. However, in cases where excess is unavoidable, the reason must be sufficiently explained. In such cases, the extension of the business trip period is based on the following criteria.

Article 9 (Review of Business Trip Expenses)
(1) Travel expenses are calculated and paid in accordance with the Public Official Travel Expenses Regulations and the Seoul Metropolitan City Council Government Ordinance on Public Official Travel Expenses.

Article 10 (Prevention of Infectious Diseases and Safety Disasters)
(1) Before traveling, the business traveler must check for the presence of infectious diseases in the country they are visiting and surrounding countries.
