SEOUL METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE ON PROMOTION OF ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES OF CAREER-INTERRUPTED WOMEN, ETC.
Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of this Ordinance is to contribute to women's economic independence and self-realization by promoting reemployment of career-interrupted women, etc. under the Act on Promotion of Economic Activities of Career-Interrupted Women and the Enforcement Decree of the same Act.
Article 2 (Definitions)
The terms used in this Ordinance shall be defined as follows: <Amended by Ordinance No. 6386, Jan. 5, 2017>
Article 3 (Duties of Mayor)
The Seoul Metropolitan Government Mayor (hereinafter referred to as the "Mayor") shall formulate a comprehensive policy to promote economic activities of career-interrupted women, etc. in consideration of women's life cycles, maternity, disability characteristics, etc., and shall prepare measures for administrative and financial support, etc. necessary to advance such policy.
Article 4 (Implementation Plan by Year)
The Mayor shall establish an annaul implementation plan each year in accordance with the master plan under Article 5 of the Act on Promotion of Economic Activities of Career-Interrupted Women and advance such plan. <Amended by Ordinance No. 6386, Jan. 5, 2017>
Article 5 (Surveys)
The Mayor may conduct surveys on economic activities of career-interrupted women, etc. on a two-yearly basis to formulate an efficient policy for promoting economic activities of career-interrupted women, etc.
Article 5-2 (Preparation and Management of Statistics)
The Mayor may prepare and manage statistics on career-interrupted women, etc. in order to formulate and execute an annual implementation plan effectively and use the statistics for promoting economic activities of career-interrupted women, etc.
Article 6 (Projects to Promote Economic Activities)
The Mayor may perform any of the following projects to facilitate economic activities of career-interrupted women, etc.:
Article 7 (Establishment and Operation of Business Incubators for Women)
The Mayor may establish and manage business incubators for women which take into consideration the characteristics of career-interrupted women, etc. and disseminate success cases in establishment of business.
Article 8 (Vocational Education and Training for Women)
(1) The Mayor may conduct vocational education and training suited to the characteristics of a local area to promote economic activities of career-interrupted women, etc.
Article 9 (Cooperation for Formulation of Plans)
(1) If necessary for formulating and promoting a comprehensive or implementation plan, the Mayor may request cooperation, such as provision of necessary materials, from the heads of public institutions and relevant organizations.
Article 10 ((Enforcement Rules)
Matters necessary for the enforcement of this Ordinance shall be prescribed by the Rules.
