SEOUL METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE ON THE VITALIZATION OF UNPOPULAR SPORTS EVENTS AND SUPPORT FOR PROMISING YOUNG ATHLETES

Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of this Ordinance is to prescribe the matters pertaining to the vitalization of unpopular sports events and support for promising young athletes in order to raise public interest in unpopular sports events and contribute to the development of professional sports in Seoul Metropolitan City.

|
Article 2 (Definition)
The meanings of the terms used in this Ordinance shall be as follows:

Article 3 (Responsibilities of the Mayor)
The Seoul Metropolitan City Mayor (hereinafter referred to as the "Mayor") shall formulate and implement the policies that are needed to vitalize and promote unpopular sports events and to support promising young athletes.

|
Article 4 (Programs)
(1) The Mayor may implement the following programs to promote and vitalize unpopular sports events and support promising young athletes:

Article 5 (Establishment of the Advisory Committee)
(1) The Mayor may establish and operate an advisory committee (hereinafter referred to as the “committee”) to seek advice on the following matters regarding the vitalization of unpopular sports events and the provision of support for promising young athletes:

Article 6 (Establishment of Cooperative Systems)
The Mayor may establish cooperative systems with the Office of Education, schools at all levels, relevant corporations and organizations, etc. for the vitalization of unpopular sports events and the provision of effective support for promising young athletes.
