SEOUL METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE ON THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE INDUSTRY
Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of this Ordinance is to provide for matters necessary to advance the tourism industry and boost regional economies by fostering and advancing the international conference industry.
Article 2 (Definitions)
Terms used in this Ordinance shall be defined in accordance with Article 2 of the International Conference Industry Promotion Act (hereinafter referred to as the "Act"). <Amended by Ordinance No. 6016, Oct. 8, 2015>
Article 3 (Establishment of Plan for Advancement of International Conference Industry)
(1) The Mayor of the Seoul Metropolitan Government (hereinafter referred to as the "Mayor") shall establish and implement a plan to advance the international conference industry, including the following matters, in order to foster and advance the international conference industry: <Amended by Ordinance No. 6661, Sep. 21, 2017>
Article 4 (Assistance in Attraction and Holding of International Conferences)
(1) The Mayor may assist a person who attracts or holds an international conference in the following activities in order to actively attract international conferences and hold such conferences effectively: <Amended by Ordinance No. 6851, Mar. 22, 2018>

Article 6 (Subsidization)
(1) The Mayor may subsidize an organization exclusively responsible for international conferences, which shall be established pursuant to Article 5 of the Act in order to efficiently carry out works regarding the advancement of the international conference industry, within the budget for the expenses incurred in the operation of the organization.
Article 7 (Entrustment of Administrative Affairs)
The Mayor may partially entrust the exclusively responsible organization under Article 6 with projects under the plan to advance the international conference industry under Article 3.
Article 8 (Enforcement Rule)
Matters necessary for the enforcement of this Ordinance shall be prescribed by rule.
